Mandy Lynn

Born November 9, 1981 in Long Island, New York
Mandy Lynn is an American model who has appeared in many of the Special Edition issues of Playboy.

Sexiness

Mandy Lynn is proof that good things come in small packages. Although she only tips the scales at 95 pounds, this curvaceous cutie has found a niche as a glamour model thanks to her eye-popping 32D-22-33 dimensions. So what turns this buxom babe on? Mandy insists that she deplores “cocky guys who think they are God’s gift to women” and that she loves men who “treat [her] like a princess.” That sounds easy to us!

mandy attends a playboy casting call

Mandy’s first big break came in the summer of 2002, when she read an article in Playboy about the magazine’s 50th Anniversary Playmate search. “I saw that they would be making a stop right here in Long Island so I went to the casting and was chosen to model for Playboy!” she recalls.

mandy becomes a cover model

It didn’t take long for the magazine’s editors to recognize Mandy’s cachet, and she was included in five issues of the magazine in 2004 alone, including her very first cover in May of that year. Mandy was also asked to model for Playboy’s Cyber Club and she gladly obliged, appearing in several more red-hot pictorials for the publication’s online clientele.

mandy is named one of playboy’s sexy 100

2005 was another banner year, as Mandy broadened her portfolio with appearances in four more issues of Playboy. Her growing popularity even resulted in landing the coveted cover spot for Playboy’s Sexy 100, a steamy countdown of the 100 hottest women in the world.

By now one of the magazine’s most beloved models, Mandy appeared in an additional four issues of Playboy in 2006, and she was named one of the top 20 finalists for the Playboy Special Editions Model of the Year competition.

mandy tries her hand at acting

Although Mandy failed to win the Playboy Special Editions Model of the Year competition, the publicity it generated earned her a number of new gigs in 2007. In addition to appearing on the cover of glossy magazines like ROCKSTAR, Conexions, Pulse Weekly, RIX and BTM, Mandy also made the transition onto the small screen with memorable roles on Law & Order, MTV’s TRL and VH1’s America’s Most Smartest Model Reality Show. When she isn’t modeling or acting, Mandy stays busy by designing websites and chatting with her friends on MySpace, where she has the top-rated female profile on the East Coast.

Mandy Lynn Quotes

" I talked all through my classes and started to care more about boys and how I looked than my schoolwork"

“I think it's fun to pretend I'm a sexy secretary or a naughty nurse.”

"Being naked is a state of mind"

"I rock when put in front of a computer! I love chatting online and web design."

"I'm all about the 3 R's: Reading, Relaxing and Reality TV."

- Mandy Lynn

I always wondered how people get on reality shows. How did you find out about this show?
Mandy Lynn: One of the casting directors emailed me. I guess he found me on MySpace. He thought I'd be good for the show. So, I went to NYC to audition (a few of them) and they ended up liking me and I got cast.

I watched some of the casting footage. That was hysterical. Was it a grueling process? I know from my audition days that it can take forever. What was your experience like?
Mandy Lynn: It wasn't that bad. There were three separate times I had to go in. And each time I went in it was very quick and easy. They just asked me questions—they wanted to get a feel for my personality. And I guess they liked me-- I was very funny—and I was cast on the show.

Did they tell you the name of the show before it was taped: America’s Most Smartest Model?

Mandy Lynn: No, they didn't. They were sneaky like that. All they said—see, that’s the part here…I fall into the Playboy lingerie type—and that's not exactly what the judges wanted. It said: all types welcome. Bikini, lingerie models welcome. I thought, I qualify—let me go to the casting. So they cast me for the show, then I get there and the lady [Mary Alice] has some type of grudge against me for the type of modeling I do. So it was a little unfair. Also, I did not know that you had to be smart.

They didn't tell us the name of the show until—I'm not kidding you—2-3 days before I had to fly out there and begin filming. I'm like: America’s Most Smartest Model?? What did I sign up to do? I called up and asked about the title and they said don’t worry, it’s going to be funny. And you’re just going to have to prove that models are smart. So I was already signed in—all done and ready. And when I got there they said everyone here think they are the smartest model and I thought, Oh my God!

i would have been so scared! I’m one to crack under pressure—even the simplest question!

Mandy Lynn: I know—I’m totally the same way and I did that on the show a few times. It’s very hot up there. The room becomes so quiet—they’re waiting for you to answer usually I’m not like that. I’m very cool, calm and collected but I was letting the pressure get to me.

they asked you to take the highlights out of your hair. (I’ve had highlights forever and I cringed when you had to dye your hair on the show.) Did you fix your hair when you got back home?

Mandy Lynn: Yes. FIXED is the right word. I liked my hair before. It did not look right after. Yuck. But for the show I wanted to stay so I thought if I did that and show her I was that dedicated…but it wasn’t enough.

you’ve accomplished before this VH1 show. You’ve done Playboy. How did you get started with that?

Mandy Lynn: They came to a casting in Farmingdale in 2002 and I went to it and was chosen. I modeled for their special edition and I was in over a dozen issues. Three were covers. I also wrote the advice column in Playboy’s Vixens and I was a “CyberGirl”.

So—what’s next for you? What would you like to do?

Mandy Lynn: I hope to do another show. Either on VH1 or another network. I want to continue with TV now, modeling, web design. Pretty much more of the same—just bigger and better!

Did you really design your website yourself? Wow

Mandy Lynn: I did. I taught myself web design because I’m so picky. It was necessary for me to do it myself. I can’t keep asking someone else to do it for me so I decided to learn how to do it and take care of it myself. That’s what I did and I’m very proud of that.

Lynn interacts daily with fans and friends in her Facebook Group, MySpace Group and Yahoo! Group. She launched her official website in July 2006, a site she designed and operates exclusively by herself.

Continuing to reside in Long Island with her cat and 2 dogs, Lynn remains active with her modeling career and website. She appeared on VH1's America's Most Smartest Model but was eliminated by the judges at the end of the October 21, 2007 episode.

Catherine Élise "Cate" Blanchett

Born 14 May 1969
Catherine Élise "Cate" Blanchett is an Australian actress and theatre director. She has won multiple acting awards, most notably two SAGs, two Golden Globe Awards, two BAFTAs, an Academy Award, as well as the Volpi Cup at 64th Venice International Film Festival.

Sexiness

Two form-fitting backless dresses were enough to convince us that Cate Blanchett has more than her acting talent to rely on. A blond Aussie, she plays on many of our fantasies with her varying roles -- some submissive, some controlling and others eccentric, yet it is her dangerously curvaceous body that mesmerizes us most of all.

Though subdued off-screen, Cate Blanchett still shows
off this great body to the public and even offers a peek into her potential wild side. We might just have to venture Down Under real soon...

Quotes

"If you k
now you are going to fail, then fail gloriously!"

"I'm one of those strange beasts who really likes a corset."

"Believe it or not, I'm pretty good at just doing nothing. I'm either sitting very still or running very fast."

"If you have a good sex lif
e, getting pregnant is bound to happen eventually."

"I had never done anything with blue screen before, or prosthetics, or anything like th
at. Lord of the Rings was like stepping into a videogame for me. It was another world completely. But, to be honest, I basically did it so that I could have the ears. I thought they would really work with my bare head."

"I just don't under
stand women who go out with men who are younger than them.... I would understand sleeping with a 60-year-old man more."

"Being an actress on a film is a bit like you're aging in dog years. (laughs) It's quite confronting. "

"The world is so massively overpopulated, but if you're halfway decent-looking and you make nice ones, then I think it's probably your responsibility to make more. That's why we just have to have more of them! "

"You know you've made it when you've been moulded in miniature plastic. But you know what children do with Barbie dolls? It's a bit scary, actually."

"I certainly think that when I flick through all the magazines at the hairdressers I like to see and am drawn to images that have an intelligence and mind at work behind them."

"I'm a believer rather than a disbeliever. But I'm not particularly interested in knowing the future. I'd rather let life unfold. I'm not interested in controlling my environment."
- Cate Blanchett

Her first major stage role was opposite Geoffrey Rush in the 1993 David Mamet play Oleanna, for which she won the Sydney Theatre Critics' Best Newcomer Award. She also appeared as Ophelia in an acclaimed 1994–95 Company B production of Hamlet, directed by Neil Armfield, starring Rush and Richard Roxburgh. Blanchett appeared in the TV mini-series Heartland opposite Ernie Dingo, the mini-series Bordertown, with Hugo Weaving, and in an episode of Police Rescue entitled "The Loaded Boy". She also appeared in the 1994 telemovie of Police Rescue as a teacher taken hostage by armed bandits and in the 50 minute drama Parklands (1996), which received a limited release in Australian cinemas.

Blanchett made her international film debut with a supporting role as an Australian nurse captured by the Japanese Army during WW2 in Bruce Beresford's 1997 film Paradise Road, which co-starred Glenn Close and Frances McDormand. Her first leading role, also in 1997, was as Lucinda Leplastrier in Gillian Armstrong's production of Oscar and Lucinda opposite Ralph Fiennes. Coincidentally, Peter Carey, the Booker Prize-winning Australian author of Oscar and Lucinda, had known Blanchett's father, Bob, when both worked in the advertising industry in Melbourne. Blanchett was nominated for her first Australian Film Institute Award as Best Leading Actress for this role but lost out to Pamela Rabe in The Well. She did, however, win an AFI Award as Supporting Actress in the same year for her role as Lizzie in the romantic-comedy Thank God He Met Lizzie, co-starring Richard Roxburgh and Frances O'Connor.

Her first high-profile international role was as Elizabeth I of England in the 1998 movie Elizabeth, which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Blanchett lost out to Gwyneth Paltrow for her role in Shakespeare in Love but won a British Academy Award (BAFTA) and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama. The following year, Blanchett was nominated for another BAFTA Award for her supporting role in The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Already an acclaimed actress, Blanchett received a host of new fans when she appeared in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings. She played the role of Galadriel in all three films. The trilogy holds the record as the highest grossing film trilogy of all time.

In 2005, she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for playing Katharine Hepburn in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator. This made Blanchett the first person to garner an Academy Award for playing a previous Oscar-winning actor/actress.

In 2006, she starred in Babel opposite Brad Pitt, The Good German with George Clooney and Notes on a Scandal opposite Dame Judi Dench. Coincidentally, Dench won the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for playing Elizabeth I, the same year Blanchett lost for playing the same historical figure, albeit in a different category. Blanchett received her third Academy Award nomination for her performance in the film (Dench was also Oscar nominated).

In 2007, Blanchett was named as one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People In The World and also one of the most successful actresses by Forbes magazine.

In 2007, she won the Volpi Cup Best Actress Award at the Venice Film Festival and the Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe Award for portraying one of six incarnations of Bob Dylan in Todd Haynes' feature film I'm Not There and reprised her role as Elizabeth I in the sequel, Elizabeth: the Golden Age. At the 80th Academy Awards Blanchett received two Academy Award nominations; Best Actress for Elizabeth: the Golden Age and Best Supporting Actress for I'm Not There, becoming the eleventh actor to receive two acting nominations in the same year and the first female actor to receive another nomination for the reprisal of a role.

Blanchett and her husband started three-year contracts as artistic co-directors of the Sydney Theatre Company in January 2008, with Giorgio Armani as its patron.

She next starred in Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as the villanous KGB agent Col. Dr. Irina Spalko, and in David Fincher's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, appearing on screen alongside Brad Pitt for a second time.

On 5 December 2008 Blanchett was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Grauman's Egyptian Theatre.

As of 2008, Blanchett has featured in seven films that were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture: Elizabeth (1998), The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001, 2002 and 2003), The Aviator (2004), Babel (2006) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).
